know any recipes for japanese or other regional sweets?

i love making desserts and treats, and my BF and i are doing a sort of “sweets around the world” kinda thing where we pick a country and make things from there for a week. recipes from any other countries would be great too!! ++if its something that is out of the ordinary, extremely delicious, and doesn’t cost a lot of money to make. thnx! ;D
